Today I said goodbye to a very good person. Her husband is being deployed to Afghanistan, so she’ll be moving to California. The last time I said goodbye to someone I completely broke down and wept. I did not weep this time but I was sad. You would think that by the time somebody gets to my age that goodbyes don’t affect one as much. Oh well. Another lesson learned.

I think good byes are harder now that we’re older because we form more heartfelt bonds now. I’m sorry your friend moved away.
