Last dance…

When I met my husband, he drove a Topaz. It was his first American car. We drove all over the bay area in that thing. He thought it was luxurious. My dad is a GM retiree with 40 years, so I would never say that 🙂 It got us from a lot of point As to point Bs. I thought about it when I read about the last Mercury coming off the assembly line yesterday. I know it’s progress and all, but it sort of saddens me because it reminds me that once upon a time there were plants that built cars and just about everything that Americans use in America, employing Americans. Sigh. Progress.

Dear House Speaker Boehner,

Good luck with that party cohesion thing.

Sincerely,

TJ

There isn’t much going on in these parts today. I’ve got a parent conference this morning and then I may be able to squeeze in some exercise time and then it will be time to read and work on stuff. Looks like a really good day for a crock pot meal.
