Fun in a box.

This weekend, we had the kind of weather that is perfect for board games, so my family played this game that I learned about playing with friends. It’s really cool. One person draws a green apple card with an adjective on it and the other people have red apple noun cards in their hands that they try to match with the adjective card. The best match wins. The big challenge is to match the adjective and choose a card that will resonate with the green card holder. I have made some good friends in the last year or so. They are all really good people, and we talk about everything – talking while texting, marriage, divorce,  family, in-laws, even what’s good at Costco. Hanging out with them has been so good for me because we’ve all felt safe enough to share what was really on our hearts and minds.
