Five years ago…

I, TJ, was the mother of two growing boys and an infant daughter.  Diva in Demand and Melette were two of my chat room friends (I liked to read Diva’s blog so I decided I would try my hand at it), and I was navigating life in the Pacific Northwest, having spent the same time here as I spent living in California.  I also had a thing for blue martinis back then. Since then, our family has been joined by the lovable preschooler Max. Little A is going to be in kindergarten in the Fall. Al is going to be starting his last year of middle school and Nat will be in fifth grade. Last year I had to get used to the sound of an empty house after quite a few years. Diva in Demand spent some time LIVING IN SMALL TOWN OREGON (I still can’t believe that some days) and visited my home and got to meet the kids and hubby. She’s so cool. Just like I knew she’d be. We went to Seattle and really had fun, too. Melette is my cohost with the most on Sisters With Sense (which will be starting up its THIRD season in August) and I really look forward to the day I can make it out to the research triangle! I’m still in the Pacific Northwest, and after all of this time, I’m still discovering new and exciting things. My dad had cancer and my mom had a disk replaced and my little brother had a mild stroke, but they are all doing so much better. Last Christmas was the best one we had. We are truly blessed.
