I spent half of my childhood in the Midwest and half of it in the South. After college, I moved out West. First to California then to where I live now. When I lived in the South, I felt like a midwesterner and once I moved out west, I felt like a southerner. Whatever I was, I was always longing to do what I had to do so that I could be somewhere else I thought was better. That mentality also extended to work, relationships, just about every area of my life. Today, though, I was inspired to put my work into making my present situation the best it can be. Being at home right now.
Home. Right now.

That’s an interesting idea. A lot of us do the exact same thing….focus on doing what it takes to get somewhere else. It takes deep self satisfaction to put the work into home.

I don’t know if it takes so much satisfaction as it does resolve, but maybe it takes both.
