Cleanse notes

Sometimes I make a salad with romaine hearts to go with my lunch. I have around 1/3 cup of cranberries with it and it tastes pretty good to me with a teeny bit of vinaigrette. I also like a tablespoon or so of walnuts in there from time to time.

When I think I’m falling behind on my calcium intake, I’ll have a glass of soy milk. It has a lot less fat and calories than dairy with the same amount of calcium as whole milk.

If I feel myself having eaten too much, I’ll have more water with lemon after I’m done eating around 6 or 7 in the evening, which usually flushes everything out. Tea is nice for cleansing, but I usually drink it in the morning.

I’ve found that although I wasn’t eating much when I started the cleanse, I tend to eat less as a rule. Two scoops of ice cream (regular ones, not cold stone sized ones) are a big deal for me. I’ve got to get my workout routine back on track, though. I still work out, but not nearly as regularly as I had been for a minute. I feel better when I work out. I just have to balance my time, the kids and all the other stuff I have going on. While I don’t even look forward to getting back into the four o clock work out routine, I can’t deny the results. Oh well. Back to the grind.
