21 Day Cleanse.

I’ve known a few people who are doing cleanses. I’m seriously considering doing one to kick start my fitness thing again, get refreshed, inspired. And look real good in my swimsuit, of course. Hee hee. You know, once the sun comes out again.

The plan is to eliminate caffeine, sugar, alcohol, gluten and animal products from my diet for 21 days. All while making meals for the kids that may contain gluten, animal products and a little sugar. We have a good selection of health food at our regular grocery store, and our Whole Foods is well stocked, so I think I can do it. I will just have to really plan my shopping, keep costs down and keep things appetizing so I can serve the kids some of the things I eat which would help control costs.

I can’t have gluten, but I like bread. I eat virtually all whole grain, but it still has gluten. Shoot. Gluten is fine with me. Not to mention dairy. I like my yogurt AND my small piece of cheese. Then there is alcohol. No mommy martinis? No glass of wine with dinner? No cooking with wine? I don’t have to have it every day, but three weeks?

I could go without meat if I had to. I know my dad wonders if I was secretly swapped out at the hospital, cause he is all about a swine. LOLOL.

One good side effect of all of this is when I decide to do it, I will definitely be doing a lot of shopping with local suppliers. And lots of veggies for the kids. Yep, our diet would be a lot more eco friendly should I decide to do this.
