Yesterday evening I found out that the shake that was one of my few fast food weaknesses had NINE HUNDRED TWENTY CALORIES. I had managed to avoid it this year, but just for the heck of it, I took a look at the web site of the place that serves it. Man. Now, if I had taken a look at this information a few years ago, I would have thought, well, that’s not so bad as a treat or something, but babay… I have had to put a LOT of time in at the gym and I’m not exactly ready right now to do that kind of extra cardio time to get a beverage off of my butt. A full meal, maybe, but a cup of something, no thanks.
It’s something how you gain an entire new outlook on the value of something when you really have to work for it (fitness, money, a relationship). You’re like, man I know how much work I had to put into THIS, bump all that other stuff. LOL.
I went and baked some oatmeal raisin cookies. They have a lot less calories, fat and have quite a few raisins and oats. I can live with that.
