I think I know why people travel on July 4

To get away from their neighbors who start doing fireworks on July 1. Nobody is THAT patriotic. LOL. Last night, people were doing fireworks until well after eleven. Like I don’t have enough work in the putting kids to bed department. Tonight is the big night. Then it is all over. I hope that next year we are away for the holiday too and in a place with less liberal fireworks ordinances. I mean, I’m all for celebrating, but some of these people are just living proof that alcohol and pyrotechnics don’t mix.

I’m off to bake my independence day cupcakes! I may have to make a store run for more popsicles.

    I’m glad you guys had a good holiday. Folks were popping fireworks at my apartment complex until really late. I was like, it’s not the 4th anymore!

    What’s up with that? I understand wanting the value for ones’ money, but the firecrackers CAN be stored and used for new years eve or for the following independence day. LOLOL.
