We recently did a lot of work in the yard and around the house in general. Al expressed interest in a vegetable garden. Our first vegetable is tomatoes. I hear they can be tough to grow, but my parents grew some when I was a kid (they still grow greens and cucumbers and other stuff from time to time) so I know it can be done. I’m kind of excited by the possibility of growing some of our own food.
The summer seems to be picking up speed. I was putting together the grocery list for the fourth and was like, it’s already here? I guess I can take a look at gas prices to tell me that. We’re going to stay home, do some sparklers, maybe some roman candles and stuff. There are some smaller fireworks displays at the small town next to us. Maybe we’ll check them out when the kids get older. Those are always a bit more relaxed than the big city affairs.
On the cloudy side of things, I found out that my favorite little scrapbook shop is closing. I think the owner is doing something new and doesnt have the time to run the business. It was a really nice quaint shop and everyone was always helpful and happy to see you. There was always a crop or something going on. I’m really going to miss that place.
