Bitch and Ho Free Zone

I don’t care how popular it gets. I don’t care how many of the kids friends listen to it. I don’t care if every other kid in their school listens to it. I don’t finance music that degrades women. That advertises violence against them. I don’t play the radio safe version of it. I don’t buy the five dollar bootleg copy of it. I don’t pay people to call me or my sisters hoes or bitches. I also avoid financing companies that support people who call me or my sisters hoes or bitches.

Don Imus thought that his comments were good radio entertainment. He thought that they would attract him a little controversy, maybe an NAACP call for apology, maybe a conference call with Al or Jesse. A splash of controversy that turned into a tidal wave. This week. I hope that more women will stand up with anger, without bitterness and demand the respect they so richly deserve.

Until they decide to, my home and my vehicle will continue to be a bitch and ho (nappy headed or otherwise) free zone.

Amen! I went beserk when I heard his nonsense. My wallet does not support the degredation of Black women as well! Well said!

Thanks. I still can’t believe that mess, but some folks will say anything to get attention/make money.
