Thankful for green tea.

Any time I start to come down with a serious sore throat or cold, I sit down and have some green tea and it always soothes my throat and tonsils. I was so thankful for it today. I’m sitting with my kids. I think Al brought something home, but it has hit all of us with a vengeance. It’s a Friday and I’ve been sitting in the house all day. That’s a major thing.

Brown rice anyone?
I’ve been considering a macrobiotic diet, but I’m looking into whether I can incorporate aspects of it into the kids’ meals. If I’m eating something totally different from them, it’s a recipe for failure. So far, the working out and everything is still working. Though the past two weeks have been tough with the whole daylight savings thing. I was already getting up at around 4:30 am. And I’m not EVEN a morning person. Then there is the thing with today’s cold. Hopefully next week will be better.

The baby gets a rep
The baby has a reputation for being, well, difficult with other folks who aren’t, well, me. I think he feels out people to see how far he can push them. At seven months, I don’t know if this is good or bad. I guess because I refuse to be intimidated by most grown folk, much less a person who isn’t even eating all solid food yet, he knows his gaming options are limited. Hee hee hee. Can’t wait until he meets my mother in law. THAT’S going to be entertaining because he punked my dad and he’s hard core…
