Keepin it movin.

The gym has officially kicked my behind. It feels good, but for the last few days, I’ve been putting in a pretty hard workout. I’m feeling the effects right about now. LOL. I may put in a Saturday morning workout, too.

I find it interesting that my workout interests have always placed me among a group of men. In high school, I was ONE OF TWO girls who signed up for weight training (though when word got out about the cute guys enrolled, that promptly changed). In college, my martial arts class was filled with dudes and maybe one or two other girls (though once again, when some of my friends learned about the dudes I was running into on campus who knew me through class , that changed) and now, at the gym, I find myself among a vast majority of guys because of the time I choose to work out. Well, no matter who is around the gym, I’m glad to get my workout. Maybe once late Spring/early Summer comes around, I’ll add a walk anyway. I like my evening walks (sometimes alone, sometimes with the kids). The place where I live is spectacular for running and walking. Evergreens, orchards, a pedestrian bridge crossing the local creek, flowers, hills. Can’t wait, can’t wait.
