Earlier this week, my husband found out that his father is intensive care. He is a heart patient who has had several heart attacks and his most recent one is the reason for his current hospitilization. My husband is very anxious about having to go home in the event that things get worse. If the absolute worst of the worst happens, we’ve already made plans for his mother to come join us. It all makes me think of how short our time really is on this earth. My drama teacher used to always tell us that life is not a dress rehearsal. So much of my life is spent preparing for the future, that sometimes I really have to stop myself and make time for those most important to me. It could all be gone so easily.
