The case for home schooling.

My parents were the type of people who insisted that we not receive all of our educations in school. They had books and encyclopedias and national geographic magazines and time magazines and if they found an interesting and educational documentary for us kids, we ended up watching it.

If my dad or mom found some study tips or test taking tips on tape (dating myself I know), we watched that too. I really appreciate that, in the face of what is going on in Texas. The social studies education of children should not be non stop propaganda for the right wing. Or the left wing. Sigh.
