Sunflower Friends.

Some of my friends are like sunflowers. They are extremely warm and pleasant and happy and I am always glad to see or hear from them. This afternoon, I had a chance encounter with one of my sunflower friends. We’ve known each other about sixteen or seventeen years (wow, I feel old saying that), but we had lost touch in the past three years with the exception of occasional notes. Today, I just happened to be waiting for an email confirmation when she sent me a chat. I was so glad to hear from her and to hear about the great things she is doing in her life. She has always been a really smart person with a LOT of initiative. It’s good for me to have a friend like that who makes me want to be better. I am going to make a special effort so that I can hear from her more often.
