Less than 24 hours ago, I read about President Nixon’s view that abortion was necessary in cases of rape and interracial pregnancy. I know that we’ve had slave owner presidents and presidents who took advantage of female slaves. But a REPUBLICAN president who thought all interracial children should be aborted? Really?
As if that was not enough, today I read about American eugenics, which are currently upheld by the Supreme Court (Buck v. Bell) and cited by the Nazis at the Nuremberg trials. Ugh. I’ve got to start reading better news.
