Wednesday already?

Not to mention that June is almost two thirds over. Today is Little A’s last day of school. Her teacher is going to be retiring this year after four decades in education. She has such enthusiasm for the kids. I had hoped that Max would be assigned to her class when he got older. Part of me wonders if her decision has been hastened by the current state of our school district budget. All of the kids’ school meal prices went through the roof this past year. Al’s school has cut some really great classes from the schedule. I have found some creative ways around some of them, but we’ll have to come out of pocket for others. Why does education suffer so much when it is so important? In more positive news, Max met his teacher for next year, and they hit it off. They get so big so fast. 🙂
