There has been a lot written about the true roots of soul food vs. the mass produced unhealthiness that passes for it in the interim. I’m going to be dedicating part of my Summer garden (and other fresh produce findings) to trying my hand at vegan soul food. Now, my folks are gardeners from way back, and I did one last year, so my soul food cooking has always had plenty of vegetables included, so this will be more like an elaboration on a theme. I’ll write about the noteworthy ones 🙂
