I’m thankful that my ticket got paid. Although I didn’t do anything wrong to get it.
Last week I got a warning from the city in the mail. It told me that I had so many days to pay my outstanding parking ticket before I would get charged extra. The bad thing about it was that I had never even received a ticket. It also said that I had received a parking ticket for parking next to an expired meter. I checked the date and I was nowhere near downtown or the university (which are, as far as I know, the two places in my city where meters exist. So I called the city. They told me that the ticket, which had been issued to a driver of a jeep cherokee, had already been paid. I thanked them although it feels really odd and I know I don’t appreciate receiving a warning for a ticket that I didn’t get.
