They are not dinosaurs, either. They are folks who eat only locally grown produce. I know, first the freegans and now this. Everybody has a label these days.
Locavors often cite concerns for local farmers and the environmental impact of importing food (not to mention the reduced costs) among their rationale for sticking to what grows close by. There’s even a fun quiz involved. Here’s a hint: Did you know that last year the United States imported pasta, butter, cocoa, shellfish AND squash from Haiti?
