A malignant brain tumor.

About six months ago, my mom called me with the news that my aunt had been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. A lifelong teacher, she found herself unable to read, then unable to speak. My uncle took her to the hospital, and the best that the surgeons could do was make her comfortable. She died shortly after that. Even though we had disagreements from time to time (I’m a strong willed person, I sort of fall out with everybody at some point), I still prayed for her and was saddened to hear of her passing. Yet sort of relieved since she didn’t suffer too much. I hope that Senator Kennedy has a different outcome.
