Unruly musings.

Mildred Loving challenged Virginia’s ban on interracial marriage. The Supreme Court ruling that resulted struck down miscegenation laws all over the country. She always said that her pursuit of the matter was “God’s work.” Mildred Loving died Friday at the age of 68.

I think that it is sort of sad that forty years after the ruling that upheld the Lovings’ marriage, interracial dating, much less marriage, is a topic of discussion at all. I’m from Louisiana, and if you know nothing else about Louisianans, they’re a racially diverse lot. LOL. And yet a major motion picture released after 2000 about an African American woman who finds love with a regular ol white dude is called Something New. Hmph.

I think that Frontier Airlines should be boycotted. Anytime you have two employees create a hangman’s noose and present it to a fellow employee on the basis that he is an African American. They should be terminated. Not disciplined. TERMINATED. I know I won’t fly with them. I’d rather drive than support an airline that allows terrorism in the workplace.

And I think that’s all of my racially motivated blogging for the day. Hee hee.

I agree about the Frontier Airlines situation. That’s some mess. Seriously.
