It took years for me to get those last two lines out of my head. My father got it from his mother and I have no idea where she got it from. But it boils down to being the kind of person who can be counted on to honor commitments. The kind of person I try to raise my kids to be. I always tell my son, Al, to be a person of character. Who does the right thing when nobody is looking. Who is real and honest and consistent. Now that he is in his preteen years, I have a glimpse of the man who I want him to be, but I did not have that in mind. I just knew that striving to be that kind of person has made me successful in a lot of aspects of life, and I want that kind of success and greater for my kids.
