A Proactive Moment.

And its not about that skin stuff either.

Some people are about a whole lot of this
and not a lot of this
and where does that get you?

I am about to be tired of hearing about people who do a lot of talking but not a lot of constructive action. Every week somebody has a complaint about the NAACP, for example. Do any of these complainers bother to contact the executive board of the NAACP? Are any letters written? Are any *gasp* dues paid so that change can truly be made in the organization from the inside? Uh, that would be a no. People have been complaining about BET for years, but whenever I start talking about buying shares and showing up at corporate sponsor shareholder meetings, I hear crickets. What’s that about? Whenever I start talking about organizing boycotts, people get simple. Maybe people like to complain and be a part of the problem, because for the most part, they sure aren’t about becoming a part of the REAL solution. Hmph.

You realize that you’re asking too much right? You actually want people to form intelligent, independent thoughts that lead to actions.

Somebody call Bill Clinton cause THAT’S really a fairy tale.
