Don’t you just hate it when somebody comes along with a simplistic solution to a problem you’ve been having for years? I know I do. The funny thing is that, in my experience, simple does not always mean easy. I mean, take weight loss for example. It seems like everyone has a little holiday extra they’d like to lose this time of year. Most naturally thin people are quick to harp out (imagine my mocking voice and “I know everything” but not really facial gestures) “eat less and excercise more”. Never mind that a grip of these people have dusty ellipticals and bikes their darn selves. Thats a post for another day. Hee hee. Well, of course eating less and working out more is the way to get rid of excess weight and body fat. And it’s really easy the first week or month. BUT. At some point, it becomes something you have to plan and strategize for. Not to mention the fact that some of us were not meant to be that size 4, 6, or 8. Our bodies just are not structured that way. So the goals need fine tuning too. And sometimes a trainer becomes involved. I’m bound and determined to be in the best shape possible and some days, I feel like I can pass on the exercise, eat a rich meal with an extra salad and call it a day. LOL. Like I said, simple does not even mean easy. Not physically, emotionally or spiritually.
Simple does not always mean easy.

BRAVO! Another excellent post. It’s amazing how insensitive people can sometimes be when they don’t have a medical degree or the knowledge to diagnose or determine what “size” a person should be. Go around talking and end up giving folks a doggone complex….especially folks with “dusty ellipticals and bikes themselves.”

You got that right. Simple does not mean easy! Weight loss is a battle that can be won but it is not simple. Great post! Hope the new year has been all that and more for you…
