The holidays have begun. Sort of.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home, being thankful. Do you know how a person might try to revisit something that she gave up only to remember that she had a REALLY GOOD reason for giving it up in the first place? Well, that was me on Friday morning. I had given up Black Friday sales because it was just too much of a pain in the backside to deal with. The throngs of people, the long lines and the fact that 90 percent of that stuff was not nearly as good as advertised. Anyway. I relearned that lesson and will most definitely be skipping the sales next year, if I’m blessed to be inhabiting this here Earth. I did get a nice cashmere/wool pea coat, but uh, I’ll still be skipping those sales never-the-freaking-less come next year. Yeah, I know I got up at 8 in the morning, but I’m still skipping them. LOL.

I was going over my schedule for the next few weeks and I think I’m going to be quite busy right up until Christmas. Today is maybe three days after Thanksgiving and the decoration wars have begun on my street. Al has asked me if we are hanging lights this year. Yes, but no eight foot tall snowmen. Maybe a ten foot tall snowglobe, but no eight foot tall snowmen. Hee hee hee.

I skipped Black Friday too. Hell, I’ve got at least another 29 days to make errbody happy.

I was kinda put off by the whole thing. Seeing Christmas displays up on HALLOWEEN! Just pass up the sentiment of Thanksgiving, AND the truest meaning of Christmas. Hmph!

I wanna see how many feathers I ruffle just coughing up the Season’s Greetings picture cards, minus a Fed Ex’d gift. LoL

Now that was a hot mess this past Halloween when I would go past a store and see pumpkins in one window and trees in the other. And you know feathers WILL be ruffled by the absence of the fedex package… LOL.
