the eyelash debacle. or not.

My husband and I went out. Had a really nice time. Went to a movie and a nice restaurant that I hadn’t visited before. The restaurant was nice . Nice atmosphere. Good conversation. Next time we go out, the kids will most likely be accompanying us, so it will definitely be a different dining experience. Still fun, and definitely unforgettable.

My only regret was that that my daughter was in the bathroom while I was making my first attempt at false eyelashes. I had to keep one eye on her and one eye on the lash (won’t even start on the things she can do to a bathroom when left unsupervised), and after the third try, both of them were working my nerves. The funny thing was that my husband complimented me on how my lashes looked. So maybe I did not need them after all. Or not as much as I thought I did. Tried them again after I got back. Cute, but not the instant glamour my mind envisioned. Maybe they can go the next time I go shopping downtown or if Al and I do the Symphony/Opera thing this season. The pair I have with the cute little crystals would really look good on the town.
