An American Christmas.

I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t it a bit early to be thinking about Christmas? I was just getting past the whole back to school thing when I heard about Mattel’s latest lead paint toy recall. I come from a family where buying American whenever possible was er, very heavily encouraged. Frankly, I try to make sure that the things I buy aren’t produced in sweat shops and stuff, but lead paint? I can’t even mess with it. It causes so many health problems. And there is just too much of it coming out of China. So Christmas toys, birthday toys and a whole lot of other toys are going to be made in America from now on, or we’ll just have to do without them. I can’t even risk my kids’ well being in the interest of economy. I’ve found some great educational toys made in the states, so maybe I’ll talk about the best ones in November or something. 🙂
