Last year at about this time, my husband was over in India. They were having monsoon season. For two days, he couldnt even get back to his parents’ home from the hospital (where his father was) because the flooding was so high. We had to wade in water once or twice when I was in college, but it wasn’t nearly up to our waists. They have water this high every year. Oh, and the picture my mother in law showed me had water much higher. EVERY YEAR. My mother in law (who clears five feet in heels, by the way) walks through THIS STUFF on the yearly? Wow. I thought living down South made you able to deal with flooding. Our flooding is NOTHING (not counting Katrina flooding) compared to this stuff. Katrina was a fifty year occurrence. This stuff happens EVERY YEAR. Can I say wow again? Wow.
You gotta wonder how much the umbrella can help when the water is that high, though.
