My husband brought in the mail this evening. It was the usual mix of junk mail, bills and catalogs. He handed me one heavy white envelope. He said it was from one of my friends. I think I squealed or something and started jumping up and down when I saw my old roommate’s name on the envelope. We usually exchange Christmas cards and notes, but this year I didn’t send them out because of my father-in-law’s death and the things we were going through at that time. I was so happy for her. Then I opened the invitation, and the left side held a photo of my old friend and her fiance’. They both were practically glowing. I’m still grinning from ear to ear. I’m just so happy for her.
